COMMISSION WORK

COMMISSION WORK is very important to Jan. It is where she brings client ideas and/or quality photographs together to create the clients' own private original art collection.

Jan works primarily from quality photographs and, if possible, observes the subject in real life prior to starting the original painting for the client. She works with watercolor, acrylic, and mixed media, depending on the clients preference. Professional quality media and materials are used for all original pieces.

Depending on the medium used, complexity and size of the piece, as well as the number of subjects, Jan's commissioned artwork ranges in price from $350 to $5,000 + gst. Upon request, a scan and subsequent copies of the original are available for a reasonable fee. This way you can provide family members and friends with a copy of your original work of art.

All commissions require a deposit of 50% of the total, to be put towards the final purchase.

Framing is available: size, color and cost to be arranged. Also if necessary, packaging and shipping costs can be arranged.

I understand one's apprehension about buying something without being able to see the final product. I am confident in my ability to create a commission that is right for you! If you are not satisfied with the final product, you don't have to buy it! You pay only for materials used and I keep the finished piece.
